Fronted by Gene Gallagher alongside Ben Taylor, Jack Schiavo and Bleu Otis, VILLANELLE are one of the UK’s most exciting emerging alternative rock bands. The band have quickly established a reputation for their raw, high-energy live performances and distinctive guitar-driven sound with influences spanning grunge, shoegaze and the ‘90s guitar scene.

Their acclaimed debut EP ‘Measly Means’, released earlier this year, attracted widespread praise from NME, Rolling Stone, Kerrang!, DIY and Clash, alongside strong support from BBC Radio 1. A breakthrough year has seen VILLANELLE perform at major festivals including Reading & Leeds, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Governor’s Ball, Ohana Festival and Outbreak x All Points East, building a growing international following. Their latest single, ‘Some Chew Lip’, sees the band push further into gritty garage rock territory, cementing their position among a new generation of British guitar bands.
